Dr. Qayum earned her Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Louisiana State University, where she also completed minors in Art History and Chemistry. She attended LSU Health Sciences Center New Orleans for medical school and completed her Internal Medicine residency at Tulane University.

She then completed a specialized fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at LSUHSC New Orleans, gaining advanced clinical and diagnostic training in allergic disease, asthma management, and immune system disorders. She is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Allergy & Immunology and participates actively in professional organizations including the AAAAI and ACAAI.

Through a thoughtful, patient-centered approach, Dr. Qayum combines strong clinical expertise with clear communication, ensuring that patients understand their conditions and feel confident in their care plans.
